A Song For All Seasons

2005年12月, 台南的冬日一樣燦爛, 但是我今天卻必須為好友送行.

緣起是我的唱臂座計劃, 一段時間後, 群育開始為我車製我的唱盤的原型, 在一陣子的嚐試錯誤後, 我們決定做一個決定版. 就在一些配件一一完成之際, 他開始感到骨盆處隱隱作痛, 初以為是運動傷害, 但看著群育由90公斤的魁梧身材一下子掉了20多公斤, 我開始覺得不對了, 於是我打電話給我的好友李維揚醫師, 維揚覺得應該是肺癌轉移, 要我趕快送群育住院, 我逼著群育到成大醫院做全身檢查, 這是10月初的事. 接著在做了一些治療後, 群育決定回家與大嫂家人相聚, 群育知道我很忙, 要大嫂告訴我12月份忙完國科會計劃再去看他, 現在想起來, 大嫂與群育真是堅強, 一樣以笑聲與我在電話中交談, 還說等一陣子後精神好一點要回來把我的唱盤完成. 沒想到我在12/14那天接到大嫂的電話, 說群育已經安詳地走了, 身後留下一雙尚在就學的兒女, 年才45.

群育在今年暑假未發現病狀時, 已經必須持手杖而行, 但他還是唸唸不忘要幫成大的一些研究生做好他們的畢業論文所需的機具, 在機械系裡, 過去沒有群育的話, 許多研究生是畢不了業的. 我也因為他的身體不適, 不忍在他已然忙碌的工作再添負擔, 這個唱盤自暑假起就一直躺在機械工廠裡, 他一直跟我抱歉的是他車的精度不夠, 一直說要重車, 但一直沒機會, 現在才知道病痛讓他無法做到平常的水準, 一直到他人躺在醫院病床上時, 還說出院後要第一個幫我完成我的唱盤. 目前所有的組件還不夠兩個唱盤使用, 但是我會找人把缺的部份完成, 然後終我一生用下去. 連同最早做的那個實驗盤.

群育是我一生遇到最好的朋友, 雖然我們認識的時間是那麼短, 雖然他老是說他只是學校的一名職工, 但是做為一個老師, 我知道他是比學校內多數的教授還更夠格被學生稱呼為老師的人.

我一直想, 甚麼樣的音樂適合送給他聽, 現在的我雖然一邊流淚一邊在打這篇文字, 但是群育樂觀的性情, 一定不願意我選一首很悲傷的曲子給他. 我想就這一首吧!

p.s.: 下次有樂友來找我, 我一定會介紹群育為我車的唱盤, 雖然群育沒能完全完成到成品的地步, 但這會是我最珍惜的音響器材, 也將陪伴我走完我自己的這一生, 然後期待在另外的時空裡, 我們會再次相遇, 然後相知.
